Fiona Samuel has been creating original drama since she graduated from the New Zealand Drama School at the age of 20. As a writer and director, playwright and actor, she has worked in television, radio, film and theatre and has created award-winning dramas in all these fields.
Television dramas include the original series THE MARCHING GIRLS and FACE VALUE; single drama HOME MOVIE; documentary VIRGINITY; and Sunday Theatre telemovies PIECE OF MY HEART and BLISS, both available on DVD.
Stage plays include THE WEDDING PARTY; LASHINGS OF WHIPPED CREAM – A Session with a Teenage Dominatrix; ONE FLESH; THE LIAR’S BIBLE and GHOST TRAIN, winner of the New Zealand Writers Guild Best Play Award in 2010. Scripts are available from Playmarket.
Short films BITCH and SONG OF THE SIREN can be seen on the NZ On Screen website, along with early television dramas THE MARCHING GIRLS, FACE VALUE and HOME MOVIE.
Fiona currently has two feature films in development,
